Ashes & Diamonds Mountain Cuvée No.3

Ashes & Diamonds is a love letter to Napa Valley as it was when it took the world stage in the 1960s, revealing itself, along with Santa Cruz, as a geological wonderland capable of world-class wines. The ultimate convergence of modern and old-school flavors, Ashes & Diamonds offers a wide-range of wines made a handful of forward thinking Napa winemakers. All the wines adhere to an ethos of light-handed winemaking and transparency of terroir. Mountain Cuvee No.3 was made by Napa Valley native Diana Snowden Seysses using fruit from Lisa Chu’s organically farmed 'Saffron. Vineyard' on Mt. Veeder, located high above the fog inversion line at an altitude of 1,500 feet.
Outgoing and quite charming, definitely made us taste twice. Explosive red fruit aromas like biting into a ripe plum, and fine, focused tannins and a subtle earthy backbone.
